Progressive Cavity Pump Stator Visual Inspection

Progressive Cavity Pump (PCP)

Inspecting Progressive Cavity Pumps (PCP) in service is now  easy to accomplish.   PCP’s need to be inspected to verify stator condition.  Being able to perform a remote visual inspection of the stator while the PCP is in the field cuts down time.  Using a pipe camera or CCTV push camera is a very good solution.  The minCam mC15 or mC30 used with the KK18, 18mm diameter CCTV camera head, fits inside the progressive cavity pump once the rotor is removed.  A wide field of view combined with great light output enables the remote visual inspection to be conducted quickly and accurately.  The mC series line cameras are very portable and run AC/DC (internal auto charging LiIon battery).
