RVI Pro recently worked with push camera manufacturer minCam of Germany to customize the mC30, a self contained CCTV remote visual inspection system. The customer needed a camera with a 90° fixed bend in order to inspect the inside of extruded plastic automobile fuel tanks. The wide field of view provided by the 18mm diameter camera head allows for rapid and repeatable quality control/quality assurance inspections of the inside of the tanks.
More rugged and easy to use than traditional borescopes, the mC30 can be set up off the inspection station with the camera head mounted at the station on a retractable lanyard. The inspector now only has to position the part and gently pull the camera down to access the inspection port. The live video image is displayed on a flat screen monitor.
The customized mC30 is a high value durable system that provides a very cost effective solution for quality control and quality assurance programs.
